To oversee the Children's Ministry of First Baptist Church, Kingston, TN (Preschool - 5th grade) ? Demonstrating the love of Jesus to the children and to their families ? Teaching our children about God (the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) through sound Biblical teaching in creative ways to reaffirm those principles ? Creating an environment that nurtures a true sense of church family among the students and their loved ones ? Prayerfully seek God's direction in all aspects of the ministry and in your own personal walk with Him ? Equip & empower parents as primary faith trainers to lead their children to Christ
Qualifications:
? Agree with and adhere to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 in teaching and lifestyle ? Be a member of First Baptist Church, Kingston, TN, or become a member after employment begins ? Significant experience ministering to children and parents, recruiting and leading volunteers, and a passion for developing leaders ? Preferred 4-year college degree majoring in a related discipline (such as child development, education) or a 2-year degree with experience ? Pass a background check Job
Responsibilities:
? Plan, organize, and conduct Sunday morning, Sunday night & Wednesday night services ? Plan, organize, and conduct all special child-centered activities ? Plan, organize, and execute all summer programs (VBS, Camps, Summer Blast, etc.
) ? Active involvement in our local elementary schools ? Active involvement and assistance with our homeschool co-op ? Communicate effectively with volunteers and parents ? Maximize & utilize social media communications ? Build impactful and trusted relationships with volunteers and parents ? Train, equip, and encourage parents & volunteers to minister to and disciple children ? Attend weekly staff meetings and give ministry reports ? Comply with church policies & procedures and participate in church activities ? Follow church safety policies set forth by the church safety plan and ensure that others under his/her leadership do also ? Develop and oversee Children's Ministry budget and work with church accounting to track expenditures ? Develop and oversee the P reschool Ministry budget and work with church accounting to track expenditures ? Intentional Ministry & support to students outside of church programming when possible ? Cooperate with the Youth & Family Enrichment Minister to select curriculum for preschool through 5th grade ? Cooperate with the Youth & Family Enrichment Minister to develop a continuity of discipleship for students from birth to 12th grade ? Create and maintain bulletin boards and inviting classroom environments ? Be organized, able to delegate to volunteers, and able to multitask ? Be comfortable with public teaching and planning events ? Must have excellent verbal, written, and computer skills ? Must have a proven track record of effective leadership, judgment, and character that is above reproach ? Must have a servant's heart & a teachable spirit ? Must walk in integrity Job Type:
